Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
This page says what we collect when you use UkrainianEasy, why, and how to have it removed. We collect as little as the site needs, and we never sell your data.
Who is responsible
UkrainianEasy is published by its founder, as an individual. For any question about your data, write to [email protected].
What we collect
- Your email address, when you create an account or ask to hear about new chapters. It is used to sign you in with a one-time code, and, only if you ticked the box, to tell you about new chapters.
- Your learning progress when you are signed in: the units you finished, your scores, your answers to review questions and when your next reviews are due. It is what lets you continue on any device and get your daily review.
- Your first name, if you choose to give it.
- Basic usage events: which pages are visited, from which country and referring site, under a random visitor identifier stored in your browser. It tells us what works and what does not. It is not linked to advertising.
- Error reports when something breaks, so we can fix it.
Cookies and browser storage
- Two sign-in cookies, which keep you signed in. They are needed for the site to work.
- A time zone cookie, so your daily review turns over at your own midnight.
- Browser storage for your progress when you are not signed in, your sound settings and the random visitor identifier.
We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
Why we may use it
- To give you the course and keep your account: that is the service you asked for.
- To email you about new chapters: only with your consent, which you can withdraw.
- To measure use and fix errors: our legitimate interest in running the site.
Where it is kept
The site and its database are hosted by Google Cloud in the European Union. Sign-in emails are sent through an email delivery service acting on our behalf.
How long
Your account and progress are kept until you delete your account. Your email for news is kept until you unsubscribe. Usage events are kept for as long as they help us improve the course.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to its use. To delete your account and its progress, write to us from the address of that account. For anything else, write to [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
